Honey in Pakistan: Types, Prices & Buying Guide

Pakistan produces some of the world's most characterful honeys. The hills of Malakand, the beri (Sidr) tree, acacia forests and high mountain pastures all support raw, unprocessed honey that is quite different from mass-produced honey in jars at supermarkets.

This guide explains the main honey varieties in Pakistan, what "raw" and "fake" actually mean, what honey costs in 2026, and how to buy pure Pakistani honey online with Cash on Delivery. It is the starting point for the rest of our guides.

What makes Pakistani honey different

Flavour, colour and texture of honey depend almost entirely on the flowers the bees collect from. Pakistan spans multiple climates, so you get:

  • Deep, dark, strong honey from Beri (Sidr / Ziziphus) trees, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
  • Golden, milder honey from Acacia (Palosa / Phulai) trees.
  • Rarer, thicker honey from wild small-bee honeybees (choti makhi) in forested mountains.
  • Natural, edible honeycomb sold exactly as the bees made it.

At Honey Home, honey is collected directly from local beekeepers in Malakand, KPK — no heating, no mixing, no additives — so the pollen, enzymes and natural flavours stay intact.

How to choose the right honey

  • Drinking daily or adding to tea? Milder Acacia (Palosa) or blended mountain honey is a good everyday choice.
  • Want the strongest, most traditional Pakistani honey? Choose Sidr (Beri) honey — it has the deepest colour and flavour.
  • Want something special? Try small-bee honey or natural honeycomb for a rare, artisan product.
  • Gifting? Our honey gift boxes are packed and ready to give.

Raw vs processed honey — what to know

Raw honey is honey that comes straight from the hive, strained only to remove wax and larger particles, and never heated beyond what naturally occurs. It may crystallize — that is normal and a sign of genuineness. Processed commercial honey is often pasteurized and filtered, which makes it look perfectly clear and liquid for years, but removes much of the natural pollen, enzymes and aroma.

Frequently asked questions

Which honey is best for daily use?

For everyday use, a mild honey such as Acacia (Palosa) or a blended mountain honey is easiest to enjoy in tea and drinks. If you prefer a stronger, darker honey, Sidr (Beri) is the traditional choice.

Why does my raw honey crystallize?

Crystallization is natural for raw honey and varies by floral source. It does not mean the honey is spoiled. Warm the jar gently in warm water to soften it — do not microwave.

Is Sidr honey the same as Beri ka shehad?

Yes. Beri is the local name for the Sidr (Ziziphus) tree, so "Beri ka shehad" simply means "honey of the Beri tree". They are the same honey.

How long does delivery take and do you offer COD?

Most orders across Pakistan arrive within 2–3 days. Cash on Delivery is available nationwide, with JazzCash, EasyPaisa and bank transfer as alternatives.

Do you sell honeycomb?

Yes. We sell natural edible honeycomb straight from Malakand hives, ready to chew or spread.
